Fluted Rim Pie Plates

The dense porcelain of this pie plate cooks with radiant heat to make for you, the flakiest of crusts.  For a crustless pie: "grease" the plate with butter, pour in 1/4 cup of white sugar.  Roll the sugar around to coat the butter and tip out any excess.  Add your filling for a fruit pie or a quiche and bake.  The butter/sugar combination caramelizes to form a thin film in place of a crust.  Oven and Dishwasher Safe.
