This decoration is created using the technique of slip trailing, where a coloured creamy clay is drizzled onto the clay body in a fashion similar to cake decorating. This traditional method of decorating pottery goes back to the Middle Ages in England.
Please note that any of the pieces shown here are available in any of the other glazes as well.
Hand thrown pottery may vary slightly in size, colour, and decoration.
Forks Road Pottery has been in business since 1978 making quality hand thrown and decorated porcelain. We are located in the historic train station in Grimsby, Ontario next to the Queen Elizabeth Highway at the Ontario Street exit, an easy nip off the highway when you are cruising in the Niagara Area. Come in and meet our potter, Marsha Cox and check out what we do.
